YLN at the Cleveland International Film Festival

As was mentioned in the previous post, YLN is very excited to be a community sponsor for the 35th annual Cleveland International Film Festival. The film that YLN’s sponsoring is a Chilean film titled, You Think You’re the Prettiest…But You’re the Sluttiest (Te creís la más linda (pero es la más puta).

The director, Che Sandoval is an up and coming director who has been tabbed as one to watch. The story itself is “a 21st-century Hispanic Holden struggling to maintain the integrity of his fledgling male ego.”  We will have two screenings of the film: the first showing Friday, March 25th at 4:50pm and the second showing on Saturday, March 26th at 10:45pm.

As a YLN Member, you can take $2 off the price off your ticket – please email Jose at josefelicianojr@gmail.com for more information.

Ticket prices (before discount):

YLN 2011 Update

We’re very excited to unveil our new website! First, we would like to thank Luis Cabrera for his assistance and hard work – without him, this would not be possible.  We would also like to thank Jason Colon for continuing to host our website.

You will find that going forward, it’ll be much easier for us to keep everyone in the loop, this website will be an effective communication tool that we can all take advantage of. Importantly, the new website will act as a platform, complimenting our existing presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin. The Young Latino Network’s hope is that we can encourage more of our members (and those interested in becoming members) to interact online with us, helping to share the story of the hard work we are ALL doing in our community.

In the meantime, we would like to share with you two details that we’re proud of (besides the new website, of course). First, we finally received a copy of the group photo with Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor taken at the Breakfast hosted by the Hispanic Roundtable last fall:

Second, we are sponsoring a film at the 35th Annual Cleveland International Film Festival.  We will be providing additional details regarding the film and festival very soon, including discounts for our members.
