What: A non-partisan ballot education program to discuss general election information such as vote by mail procedures, where to find a sample ballot, how to track your ballot and how to be a poll worker Representatives from the League of Women Voters will also be on hand to answer questions about issues on the ballot

Esperanza’s Back to School Supply Drive
(Esperanza will start distributing the Back-to-School materials on the weekend of August 6-7th )
Esperanza is kicking off its Back-to-School donation drive. We have a goal of providing 500 of our youth with book bags filled with school supplies. We would appreciate donations from our community, corporations, churches, etc. Supplies will be distributed in early August. The school supplies needed for families are:
* No. 2 pencils
* Three ring binders
* Dividers
* Spiral notebooks
* Black/Blue ink pens
* Pocket folders
* Composition notebooks
* Scientific calculators
* Pocket dictionary
* White loose leaf paper (wide or college rule)
* 12″ standard or metric ruler
* Elmer’s glue stick
* Pencil and pen pouch
* Color pencils/crayons
* Small pencil sharpener
* Pencil cap erasers
* Yellow highlighters
