Global Cleveland and YLN

Global Cleveland who’s mission is to “The mission of Global Cleveland is to strengthen the region by attracting and retaining newcomers and connecting them to opportunities, resources and services; by recognizing and valuing their contributions as neighbors, civic partners and entrepreneurs; and, by promoting the region as a welcoming place for all.”

They are having their kick off launch party on May 24th at City Hall. Those
attended their last event in December know what a good time that one was.
You can RSVP here
http://globalclevelandinitiative.org/Summit.aspx

Before the party they need OUR help they are currently working with Jim Rusell, a demographer who looks at return migration patterns, to help look at the policy issues and needs for
“boomerang migration” to Cleveland.  As, we know, those that may have a
connection to Cleveland may be the most likely to return.

They want to make sure our data is inclusive of all those return migrants we can find, and if there are issues or ideas within the different ethnic communities that may perhaps, increase, or
help direct our messages and efforts to return migrants (e.g. we found
from other return migrants, they land back in Ohio City, Tremont,
Downtown, University Circle and near Coventry regardless if they grew up
east or west side).

Here is the link to the survey – please pass it on – it doesn’t matter if YOU
returned 2 days ago or 20 years ago.  They are interested in all!
